This week in math class i learned how to add and subtract numbers with negative signs. When adding and subtracting numbers you have to be careful. You have to be careful because it tricks you. say you have a problem like -2+4
i bet you are guessing the answer is -6. but yor answers is not correct.
this is how you dso this problem.

STEP 1: You can try drwing a number line which is good but is not always going to help you.exspecialy with big numbers.

STEP 2: when you draw a number line you label it from -4 to positive 4.

STEP 3: when you do that..you then count -2 to the number 4

your answer should say 2
